Effective 24 Feb 23, active duty dependents are now able to renew their military IDs online from start to finish via ID Card Office Online, https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/.  If an online renewal is approved, DMDC will mail the ID card directly to the dependent’s verified home address within 30 days of renewal…no in-person appointment is needed!  This is a pilot program being instituted by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), and members will only see this option if a USID card is eligible for this pilot program.

 

Currently, this option only applies to active duty dependents.

Both the sponsor and their dependents must meet specific requirements to utilize this option, which are outlined in the attachment.

All online ID renewals should be made NO LATER THAN 30 days out from the expiration date, since it can take up to 30 days for a renewed ID to be delivered in the mail.
